Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reassured residents that governance will remain uninterrupted despite opposition in the state.
Speaking on Monday during the inauguration of the newly built Government House Staff Quarters in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized his commitment to delivering good governance, stating that victory is certain for the state.
Acknowledging the Supreme Court’s recent judgment, which affected the political landscape, he urged Rivers people to stay strong, assuring them that “what lies ahead is greater than what has happened.”
Fubara reiterated his resolve to lead with integrity and accountability, dismissing fears of political pressure. He affirmed, “The worst that can happen is for me to leave office. Am I leaving the earth? Is it going to stop me from existing?”
He also warned against any attempts to destabilize the state, stressing that he stands firmly on the side of truth and justice. “There is honor and glory in fighting gallantly on the side of truth,” he declared.
