The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released the timetable and activities schedule for the upcoming 2024 bye-elections in the country. Aligned with the earlier notice from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the PDP’s schedule encompasses bye-elections for Senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assemblies.
As outlined by the National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature, the expression of interest form for the Senate carries a fee of N500,000, while the nomination form is priced at N3,000,000. For the House of Representatives, the expression of interest form costs N500,000, with the nomination form set at N2,000,000.
In the case of State House of Assembly elections, the expression of interest form is priced at N100,000, while the nomination form carries a fee of N500,000. Female aspirants and individuals with disabilities are required to pay for nomination forms only.
Additionally, aspiring youths below 40 years old are eligible to purchase expression of interest forms, enjoying a 50% discount on nomination forms as part of the PDP’s commitment to inclusivity in the political process.
