During the APC’s campaign rally in Iragbiji, the hometown of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, the governing party welcomed the defectors.
Ismail Omipidan, the state governor’s chief press secretary, spoke on the incident and stated that the defectors joined the APC as a result of the way Oyetola has been managing the state’s affairs.
In the July 16 governorship election, the defectors vowed to work for the party’s and its candidate’s success.
In his remarks to the crowd at the party rally, the governor of Osun State expressed his gratitude for their support of his administration.
As the first term set the foundation for a better future, Oyetola stated that if he wins the upcoming election, he “will be more rewarding and resourceful.”
The APC candidate for governor in the election on July 16 urged residents of his state who have not yet gotten their Permanent Voter Cards to do so.
Oyetola claimed that with the help of their PVC, they would be able to fulfill their civic responsibilities during the next governorship election.
