Osun APC Warns Governor Adeleke: “No Governorship Ticket for Sale”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has issued a strong warning to Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), cautioning him against any potential defection to the ruling party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

This follows a recent high-profile visit by Governor Adeleke, his elder brother Adedeji Adeleke, and music star David Adeleke (Davido) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja an event that fueled widespread speculation about Adeleke’s political intentions.

Speaking at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo, APC chieftain and former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, unequivocally stated that the APC is not offering its ticket to Adeleke or any PDP defector.

“I’m saying this categorically: APC tickets are not for sale,” Owoeye declared. “As of today, we do not consider Governor Adeleke a member of our party. The APC in Osun remains strong, united, and the party to beat in 2026.”

Owoeye alleged that the Adeleke camp and the PDP are gripped by “fear of the unknown” and are desperately exploring survival strategies, including crossing party lines.

“There is no vacancy in the APC for PDP members, including the governor,” he said. “We are prepared and focused on reclaiming Osun State through the democratic process.”

The Osun APC reiterated its commitment to grassroots mobilization and party discipline, assuring members and supporters that it remains the state’s most formidable political platform.
