Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue State, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of wrecking Nigeria’s economy and putting the country in danger.
Ortom accused President Muhammadu Buhari’s government of putting Nigerians through economic hardship in a statement released on Thursday.
The Governor of Benue State made a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, in reaction to the President’s claim that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has failed.
The President mocked the PDP’s anticipated comeback to power in 2023 during an interview with Channels Television that aired on Wednesday.
The Nigerian leader referred to the opposition party as a “failure” during the interview.
President Buhari stated that whenever he hears the abbreviation “PDP”, what comes to mind is “failure”.
But in response, Ortom on Thursday stated that the only failure is the President and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said, “as a critical stakeholder of the PDP, this is completely false. If anyone has failed, it is the Buhari-led APC federal government that has failed by taking Nigeria from top to bottom.
“The PDP is ready to rescue Nigeria from the insecurity and economic horror placed on Nigerians by the APC”.
He added that the APC has been exposed as they have run out of all lies and propaganda to tell the Nigerian people.
“They have exhausted all their lies and have nothing more to tell Nigerians,” he added.
