Renowned Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor, has passed away at the age of 62 after a prolonged illness.
The news of his demise was shared by social commentator Morris Monye through his X handle on Sunday.
Monye shared this somber news expressing profound sorrow over the actor’s demise.
“Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing. He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful. We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India. This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country”.
The sudden passing of Amaechi Muonagor comes merely days after a viral video in which he appealed for funds to support his kidney transplant.
On November 27, 2023, Tony ‘Oneweek’ Muonagor, a relative of the actor, confirmed his battle with kidney disease.
Throughout his illustrious career, Muonagor starred in numerous films, including the renowned “Aki and Paw Paw,” where he portrayed the father of two lively teenagers.
Muonagor’s demise comes shortly after the passing of Mr. Ibu (John Okafor) on March 2, 2024.
