The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s energy security and driving national prosperity through strengthened collaboration.
In a statement signed by Olufemi O. Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., the renewed partnership was solidified during a courtesy visit by Aliko Dangote, President/CEO of Dangote Group, to Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of NNPC Ltd., at NNPC Towers on Thursday.
“There is no competition between us. We are not here to compete with NNPC Ltd. NNPC is part and parcel of our business, and we are also part of NNPC. This is an era of cooperation,” Dangote emphasized, stressing the importance of collaboration in securing the country’s energy future.
Dangote also congratulated Ojulari and his team on their recent appointments, acknowledging the significant responsibilities they hold and expressing confidence in their ability to achieve results.
In his response, Ojulari assured Dangote of NNPC’s dedication to a partnership built on healthy competition and shared commercial interests. He commended the skills and dedication of NNPC’s workforce, calling them a “highly skilled, hardworking team focused on delivering value for Nigeria.”
Both leaders emphasized their personal commitment to managing the partnership between their organizations, with Ojulari highlighting NNPC’s readiness to foster a legacy of innovation, collaboration, and prosperity for the nation.
