Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described Nigeria’s security challenges as “man-made,” accusing some politicians of sponsoring violence for personal political gain.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe claimed that politicians who lose elections often instigate unrest by using “uneducated street urchins” to create insecurity and score cheap political points.
He expressed confidence that such attempts to destabilise the nation will ultimately fail, stating, “Evil cannot triumph over good. They will fail.”
Igbokwe’s remarks underscore ongoing concerns over political interference in Nigeria’s security landscape and highlight the role of social media as a platform for public commentary on national issues.
