Nigeria Fared Better In The Last 6 Years Under APC Than In PDP 16 Years – Lawan

Ahmad Lawan- Senate President
Nigeria and Nigerians have fared better in the last six years under the All Progressives Congress (APC) than in the sixteen years when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in power, according to Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

According to him, the country possessed vast riches under the PDP’s federal control, but most of them ended up in private wallets.

Lawan said that there has been no tangible success during the PDP’s 16 years in power, advising Nigerians not to vote for the umbrella party in 2023.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya revealed his aim to employ 3,700 youth personal assistants throughout the state’s 11 local government areas at an empowerment session held at the APC square in Gombe State.

In his words, “PDP ruled the country for 16 years, deceiving Nigerians.

“The monies they got during their reign were mind-blowing but they did nothing to better the lives of Nigerians.

“The bulk of these monies ended up in private pockets.

“The performance of the APC administration in the last six years far outweighs what the PDP claimed to have done in the last 16 years.”

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, has advised the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to drop his presidential ambition.

The APC chairman told reporters in Abuja on Saturday that the former Lagos governor should instead support someone from the southeast to replace President Muhammadu Buhari.

While asking Tinubu to keep his position as kingmaker, Okechukwu encouraged the ‘Jagaban’ to support a younger candidate from the South in accordance with the country’s zoning convention.
