New details have emerged more than a week after the deaths of actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, according to official records.
Death certificates released by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health show that the couple died within minutes of each other after suffering multiple sharp-force injuries. The documents, obtained indicate that both were cremated.
The Reiners were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home on Dec. 14. Records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner list the manner of death for both as homicide.
Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was arrested later that day in Exposition Park, authorities said. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Investigators have not released further details about a possible motive, and the case remains under investigation.
