Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has taken a swipe at former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, branding him “Nigeria’s incomparable political wanderer” following his recent resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku formally quit the PDP in a letter dated July 14, addressed to his ward chairman in Jada LGA, Adamawa State.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Morka accused Atiku of abandoning his party for the third time, describing it as part of a recurring pattern tied to his “desperate but ever elusive search for the presidential Golden Fleece.”
The APC spokesman described the former vice-president as “the weakest link in Nigeria’s partisan democracy,” claiming that Atiku prioritises personal ambition over party-building or internal reforms.
“He is driven only by selfish and obsessive presidential ambition, never willing to put in the work to build his party or resolve its internal crises. Yet, he insists on claiming a birthright entitlement to his party’s presidential ticket, excluding others,” Morka said.
He ended his remarks with a taunt:
“Congratulations, Nigeria’s incomparable political wanderer.”
