The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has announced its intention to collaborate with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) to advance infrastructure development through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). This was disclosed by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo during a meeting with ICRC at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

Keyamo emphasized that PPP is the most viable solution for addressing Nigeria’s infrastructure needs and promised to form a task force with a clear timeline to accelerate the partnership. The minister also highlighted his efforts in addressing legal challenges within the ministry and urged ICRC to adhere to proper legal procedures in PPP projects.

ICRC Director-General, Dr. Jobson Ewalefoh, praised the ministry’s vital role in driving Nigeria’s economy and expressed optimism that the partnership would foster the aviation sector’s growth. He called for urgent infrastructure improvements to attract more investors and commended President Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure renewal under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
