On March 5, 2022, at the Havillah Event Centre in Lagos, Ogbulu reportedly distributed petrol while celebrating her chieftaincy title.
The state authorities shut down the center after a video depicting kegs of petrol for attendees at the celebration went viral on social media.
The socialite will also face charges, according to the police.
She was charged with four counts on Monday, including conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, endangering human lives by disseminating combustion products in a public gathering, intent to harm another, and unlawfully carrying on the business of storing and containerizing petroleum products without a permit.
According to the police, the offenses are contrary to and punishable under sections 251(1), 168 (1), and 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015, and Section 195 (2)(b) of the Environmental Management Protection Law of Lagos State 2017.
Ogbulu was given bail in the amount of N2 million, with two responsible sureties and three years of tax clearance.
The case was postponed for trial on March 24, 2022.
