Kanu Nwankwo, speaking after his appointment as the new Chairman of Enyimba International Football Club of Aba, has said he is determined to take the club to a higher place.
The former Super Eagles player gave the assurance at the Abia State government house, Umuahia, where he informed Governor Otti of his arrival and readiness to assume duty at Enyimba. He noted that the Aba-based club would witness great improvement under his watch and thanked the State Governor, Alex Otti for finding him worthy for the job.
Nwankwo therefore rallied great sons and daughters of Abia to come together to make the State great again. Receiving Kanu in his office, the Chief of Staff to Governor Otti, Caleb Ajagba said it was the Governor’s love for excellence that made him to appoint the former international player as Enyimba’s Chairman. The Chief of Staff challenged Kanu to leverage on his previous achievements in the field of soccer to transform Enyimba to a greater team, reminding him that the eyes and hopes of people are on him to succeed.
