The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on Wednesday declared that he is not working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but for Tinubu who have trust in me to help him deliver the renewed hope.
The Minister clarified that he is working for President Bola Tinubu and not the APC.
Speaking during an interview appearance on Channels TV, the former Rivers State Governor added that he owes nobody an apology for working for Tinubu both before and after the 2023 elections.
“I am not working for APC. I am working for Tinubu who have trust in me to help him deliver the renewed hope,” Wike said.
He added, “I owe nobody any apology at all. I was in PDP and I worked for Ahmed Bola Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria.”
PDP Can’t Suspend Me
Furthermore, Wike, has dared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to suspend him from the party.
He said with his record in “producing” governor and senators on the platform of the party, no one could suspend him.
“The person who will suspend me is when I couldn’t produce a governor, three senators, Assembly members. I have not seen that person. Nobody will do it.
Wike spoke against the background of the crisis that rocked the PDP ahead of the 2023 presidential election in which he and some others popularly known as the G5 Governors worked against the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
