The anti-graft agency said that the former Governor of Imo State plotted with others, including an APC member and five firms, to steal N2.9 billion in public funds.
Other defendants include Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited, in addition to Okorocha.
This comes after Okorocha officially declared his intention to contest in the general elections in 2023.
According to Naija News, the Imo West Senator made his declaration on Monday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
In his statement, the presidential candidate stated that if elected, he would make education free and obligatory, particularly from basic through secondary school levels.
