The Sharia police also stated that 92 persons have been arrested for prostitution and other related offenses.

Mallam Ibrahim Dahiru, the board’s commander, said this while speaking with news reporters in Dutse, the state capital, on Tuesday.

Dahiru said that the 1,906 bottles of alcohol were recovered in 2021. According to the Hisbah commander, the 92 persons arrested were charged with gambling, drug abuse, prostitution, and other social vices.

He also stated that the Hisbah board had closed beer parlors and brothels around the state during this period.

Dahiru explained that the seized bottles of alcohol and suspects were handed over to the police for further investigation.
