Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September 2025, following a blistering run of form that saw him score five goals and provide one assist in just three matches.
The Norwegian forward was instrumental in City’s revival last month, finding the net against Arsenal and Manchester United as Pep Guardiola’s men rediscovered their rhythm after a shaky start to the season.
Speaking to the club’s media, Haaland expressed delight at claiming the award once again.
“I’m really happy to win this award for a fourth time. It always means a lot, so thank you to everyone who voted for me,” he said. “September was an important month for us — we played great football, stayed unbeaten, and got big wins for the fans. I’m happy to have contributed with goals.”
The 25-year-old remains the league’s top scorer with nine goals, ahead of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Jaidon Anthony. Across all competitions, Haaland has already notched 12 goals in nine games this season, underlining his reputation as one of football’s most prolific finishers.
This latest accolade brings Haaland level with Premier League icons Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Frank Lampard, who also have four Player of the Month awards each. Only eight players in history have received the honour more times.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner was named Manager of the Month after guiding his side through an unbeaten September. The Eagles picked up a draw against Sunderland and secured statement wins over West Ham United and Liverpool — their first monthly managerial award since Tony Pulis in April 2014.
Glasner beat Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, City’s Pep Guardiola and Sunderland’s Régis Le Bris to the prize.
