Fashola Reveals Monthly Pension Of N577,000 From Lagos Govt

Former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, clarified on Saturday that he receives a monthly pension of N577,000 as a former Governor of Lagos State.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Perspectives, Fashola dispelled speculation about receiving billions from the federal government after serving eight years as a minister.
Contrary to the rumored substantial financial benefits, Fashola emphasized that his only financial benefit from the government is the N577,000 monthly pension from Lagos State.
He refuted claims of amassing billions after leaving office, stating“So, in spite of all the stories that we got several billions of money (after leaving office), I’ve come out to deny that repeatedly. Well I don’t know how long it lasts, but all I know is that I get N577,000 per month consistently.”
When asked about advice for current public office holders, Fashola refrained from giving direct advice but urged them to “remain true and authentic” in their responsibilities.
