EFCC Chairman Orders Arrest of Operatives Involved in Assault of Lagos Hotel Staff

The executive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has mandated the arrest of two operatives allegedly involved in the manhandling of a female staff member at Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, announced in a statement that the officers were identified in a viral video assaulting the hotel staff during an early morning sting operation in Lagos. While the operation resulted in the apprehension of several suspects currently being profiled, the EFCC chairman has called for a thorough investigation into the incident at the hotel.
Olukoyede assured that any officers found culpable would face appropriate disciplinary actions. He emphasized the EFCC’s commitment to conducting its operations professionally and with utmost respect for the rule of law.
“The EFCC will continue to execute its job professionally and with profound respect for the rule of law,” Oyewale quoted Olukoyede as saying.
