Ebonyi Gov Joins G-5 Now G-6 During Rivers Project Commissioning

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi paid a visit to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike at his residence in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Umahi was in Rivers State to commission a road project overseen by the Wike administration.
While speaking about Governor Wike and his allies, known as the G-5, Umahi stated that their fight is not personal.
The Ebonyi State Governor stated that the G-5 members are fighting to keep the country together, and that God is with them and has Wike and his allies on his side.
Umahi pointed out that there was a G-4 before, which had him (Umahi), the Zamfara State Governor, Matawalle, and Cross Rivers Governor, Ben Ayade as members before Wike removed them.
He, however, stated that he has joined the G-5, which consists of the Rivers State Governor, Oyo State Governor, Benue State Governor, Abia State Governor, and Enugu State Governor.
Umahi while addressing Wike Said: “Your fight is not personal, you are fighting to put this country together … I want to assure you that I have your back, I have your front, I’m with you, we are united in this.

“You know those governors you removed or wanted to remove before you soft-pedalled, we have formed G-4, that is governor Wike, myself, Cross-River and Zamfara. There is another G-4 and G-5 is hereby expanded to G-6, I am now a member of G-6” Umahi told Wike.
Umahi went on to say that many other governors are interested in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors’ integrity group.
He used the opportunity to rally support for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the upcoming election.
