DSS Detains Suspended Ogun LG Chairman Adebayo Over Accusing Gov. Abiodun Of Fund Diversion

Wale Adedayo, the suspended chairman of Ogun State’s Ijebu East Local Government Area, was detained by the Department of State Security (DSS), Ogun State command, on Friday due to allegations of council allocations being diverted against Governor Dapo Abiodun.
In the last two years, Adedayo claimed that the governor had withheld funds intended for the local government.
On Friday, he was present at the DSS office in Abeokuta to honor the service’s invitation over the allegations.
On Thursday, he was also in the DSS office for the same reason, but he was arrested on Friday.
On Friday night, one of his aides told a reporter that Adedayo might spend the weekend in custody.
He said, “We got here together and I took his phone and stood outside, since then he has not been allowed to come out.
“After he got into the place, the governor also came into the DSS office and left after over 30 minutes. Only God knows what is happening to my boss right now, please help us. This is 8:34 pm and he has still not been allowed to come out.”
