Dogara Urges Patience With Tinubu, Warns Against Nigeria’s Disintegration

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has cautioned that Nigerians stand to lose greatly if the country is allowed to disintegrate. Acknowledging the current economic challenges, he appealed for patience, urging citizens to give President Bola Tinubu time to implement his vision before passing judgment ahead of the 2027 elections.

Dogara made the remarks in Abuja during a worship and thanksgiving service celebrating the 65th birthday of Archbishop John Praise Daniel, presiding bishop of Dominion Chapel International Church.

“We will lose so much if we lose this country called Nigeria,” Dogara said. “Whatever God has given us, if we don’t stand to protect it, we will lose it. God has given us a nation Nigeria one of the most endowed on earth.”

Archbishop Daniel expressed gratitude for God’s preservation over his 65 years, reflecting on 45 years in ministry. “I feel God is giving me energy to do more for Him, for the Kingdom, and for my generation,” he said, urging young ministers to remain patient and faithful.

Pastor John Dara, delivering the keynote address, described Tinubu’s government as reformist and argued that its long-term vision required more than one term to succeed. He called on Nigerians to unite and support Tinubu for a “landslide victory” in 2027, while emphasizing the Church’s vital role in national development through education, health, and leadership initiatives.
