Deborah was a young Christian girl who was beaten and burned to death by her colleagues at the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, where she was a student, a few weeks ago.
The deceased was accused of blasphemy against Islam’s Prophet Muhammad and set on fire by her male Muslim colleagues.
The episode provoked outrage and threatened to turn into a religious crisis in several regions of Nigeria, including Abuja and Bauchi.
Deborah’s parents were consoled while healing from their bereavement by the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, a Port Harcourt-based Christian pastor.
Apostle Chinyere took them in and enrolled the children in schools.
After a few weeks, Apostle Chineyere gifted a restaurant to the deceased family through his ministry.
The restaurant was officially opened on Monday, June 20, 2022.
