Dare Rebuts Datti Baba-Ahmed, Insists Tinubu’s Re-election is Unstoppable

Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, has vehemently rejected claims made by Datti Baba-Ahmed, the former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, suggesting that President Tinubu’s time in office is nearing its end.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Dare dismissed Baba-Ahmed’s comments as “flawed, devoid of reason, and empty,” in response to Baba-Ahmed’s assertion that Tinubu would face an electoral defeat and should “throw in the towel” if he is politically astute.

Criticizing Baba-Ahmed’s political analysis, Dare said it was “not fit for even a first-year political science class” and emphasized that politics requires experience and a proven track record, qualities he believes Baba-Ahmed lacks.

The presidential aide also rejected Baba-Ahmed’s claims that President Tinubu is failing to meet his campaign promises, pointing out that Tinubu’s economic reforms have already begun to yield positive results. He highlighted the praise from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the president’s economic policies, which have strengthened Nigeria’s economic position.

Dare confidently declared that President Tinubu would “win comfortably” in the 2027 election, regardless of political conspiracies, and that his ongoing reforms would pave the way for a successful re-election campaign.

In closing, Dare advised Baba-Ahmed to focus on rehabilitating his own political career and suggested that if he cannot make meaningful contributions to the political landscape, he should step aside for those more capable of navigating the challenges of politics.
