Daniel Levy Steps Down as Tottenham Chairman After 25 Years.

Tottenham Hotspur has announced that Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman after nearly 25 years at the helm.
The development, revealed on Thursday through the club’s official X handle, marks the end of an era  as Tottenham seeks to continue to transform into a global football powerhouse.
Under Levy’s leadership, Spurs competed in European competitions in 18 of the last 20 seasons, built a world-class stadium and state-of-the-art training centre, and enjoyed on-field successes, including their recent Europa League Cup triumph.
As part of its succession plan, the club has in recent months appointed Vinai Venkatesham as Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Frank as men’s head coach, and Martin Ho as women’s head coach. Peter Charrington, who recently joined the board, will assume the newly created role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Levy, reflecting on his tenure, said:

“I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees. We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community… I will continue to support this club passionately.”
Charrington, in his first remarks as Non-Executive Chairman, said the club is entering “a new era of leadership” and thanked Levy for his long-standing commitment.
“This is a new era of leadership for the club, on and off the pitch. We are now fully focused on stability and empowering our talented people across the Club, led by Vinai and his executive team,” he said.
The club confirmed that there are no changes to its ownership or shareholder structure.
