COVID-19: UAE Exceed 1 Million Infection Mark, Report 400 New Cases

The number of Covid-19 cases in the UAE has exceeded the 1 million mark. There have been more than 184 million tests conducted so far.

According to statistics, the UAE is one of the 68 countries to have exceeded the 1 million infections mark.

Since a spike in infection rates in June, the number of cases in the Emirates has decreased.

Efforts to stop the spread of the virus have relied heavily on extensive screening and a comprehensive immunisation programme.

Over 590 million cases have been reported globally.

Early on in the outbreak, stay-at-home precautions and intensive cleaning procedures were implemented.

Offices and schools were closed as a precautionary measure and flights were grounded when the coronavirus first broke out in early 2020.

Authorities introduced physical distancing and made the wearing of face masks in public mandatory.

Safety measures have been gradually eased in recent months to support a return to normality.
