Court Denies Nnamdi Kanu Bail

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has been denied bail by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja (IPOB).

When Nnamdi Kanu was initially granted bail, he refused to appear in court for a trial, the judge ruled he had to account for his whereabouts for years.

The court rejected the defendant’s claim that he fled the country after his ancestral home in Abia State was attacked by an armed entourage.

The Federal government has dropped one of the seven charges leveled against the pro-Biafra activist.

Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, informed the media on Wednesday of this development.

Ejimakor said: “The Federal Government just amended the charges against Nnamdi Kanu now, they removed one, you know it was seven, but they removed one, and now it’s six.”
