Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, made the statement to the press on Thursday morning.
When the dog owners are apprehended, he claims they will be punished and prosecuted.
Security personnel, he added, would not back down until women spotted having sex with dogs in popular TikTok videos are arrested.
Men who engage in bestial activities would not be spared, according to the PPRO, who also stressed that sharing such videos online will not be condoned.
Adejobi said, “Unnatural offenses: we will extend our search, investigation, and punishment to the owners of the dogs caught in the act of having sexual intercourse with ladies or being used for similar offenses.
“They also have questions to answer. The offense is punishable under the law and thus condemned. We will soon apprehend the lady and others like her including the men, who have been involved in this criminal and barbaric act.”
According to PUNCH report, a light-skinned lady in a trending video claimed she was paid a lump sum to sleep with the dog.
The video was said to be recorded in Nigeria and many had wondered why a dog owner would pay a lady seven digits to sleep with his pet.
According to lawyers, sleeping with an animal is illegal under the Criminal Code Act and the Penal Code Act, and it is punishable by up to 14 years in jail in Nigeria.
Many people have claimed that the public display of nudity and the sharing of sex tapes on the internet can harm public decency and moral standards.
