Best E-Commerce Website Award Goes To Jumia Nigeria

At the GAGE Awards, Jumia Nigeria received awards for its service delivery and innovation.

The company received the award for “e-commerce website of the year,” which recognizes the best e-commerce brand in Nigeria that offers clients a fantastic platform for easy buying.

The GAGE, an initiative of the Gage Digital company aimed at encouraging digitalization by setting criteria for growth, is Africa’s leading digital award with winners spanning 11 different categories.

Since 2019, the GAGE Awards have been held annually to recognize, reward, and promote the digital personalities and businesses that, in the opinion of an impartial and highly esteemed panel, have shaped the nation digitally.

Speaking on this feat, the CEO of Jumia Nigeria, Massimiliano Spalazzi, said: “we would like to thank everyone who voted for us as the best e-commerce platform at a time we are most proud of as we celebrate a decade of e-commerce in Nigeria. It further reinforces our commitment and ambition to improve people’s lives through the internet whilst enabling our vendors and logistics partners to grow and reach more consumers across the country.”

He stated, “we are committed to continuing to offer our consumers an unmatched user experience on Jumia while ensuring we adapt to market demands.

“Since its inception, the GAGE Awards has grown to become one of the most prestigious and coveted recognitions in the digital space across Africa, attracting thousands of entries from reputable organizations.

“We believe that technology has the potential to transform everyday life in Africa, for the better. We built Jumia to help consumers access millions of goods and services conveniently and at the best prices while opening up a new way for sellers to reach consumers and grow their businesses.”
