‘Tuttosport’ reports that Barcelona have turned their attention back on bringing Alvaro Morata’s services to the Camp Nou. ‘Los Azulgranas’ are hoping to sign the international level striker ahead of next season.
Barcelona continues to work on its plans ahead of the 2022/23 season. ‘Los Azulgranas’ intend to bolster their squad. The area they are most concerned about is their forward line.
The arrival of a world-class striker continues to be at the top of the board’s list of priorities. However, Barcelona is on a short budget going into the transfer window and a top-tier striker is never cheap.
The possibility of Haaland arriving at the Camp Nou will be nothing more than a pipe dream and Lewandowski is still not certain whether or not he will leave Bayern this summer. Because of this, Barca has turned their attention to plan B.
According to ‘Tuttosport’, Barcelona has touched base once again with Juventus concerning Alvaro Morata.
The Old Lady is not sure about paying the 35 million euro release clause on his contract, especially after their failed attempt to sign him in the January window.
Also, as the footballer is owned by Atletico Madrid, they will play a fundamental role in any negotiation. Morata has expressed his contentment at Juventus on several occasions.
The striker has appeared in 45 matches so far this campaign, evidently a key part of Allegri’s plans. Moreover, he has scored eleven times and made seven assists.
