Bandits Attack Taraba, Kill Three, Leave Hundreds Of Others Missing

Terrorists, otherwise known as bandits, invaded Wuro Bokki village of Senderde ward in Taraba state’s Gasol local government area, killing three people and leaving hundreds of others missing.

The bandits, dressed in military uniforms and on several motorcycles, invaded on Saturday evening.

Musa Abdulahi, the chairman of the local government area, confirmed the attack to LEADERSHIP over the phone.

According to Abdulahi, the bandits invaded the settlement about 4 p.m., dressed in military uniforms.

During the operation, the armed men also burned down 11 houses with properties worth millions of naira, according to him, before returning to their base.

According to Abdulahi, the bandits have camps in a forest between the council’s Senderde and Gasol wards.

When contacted, Usman Abdullahi, the public relations officer for the state police command, verified the incident to LEADERSHIP.

He stated that three persons had been killed that several others were missing, and that the command had dispatched its personnel to the region to enforce law and order.
