Atiku’s Son Says Tinubu Unstoppable in 2027

Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has declared that his father has no chance of defeating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Abba made the statement on Monday in Yola, Adamawa State, while completing his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He obtained his party membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area.

Explaining his decision to join the APC, Abba said it was driven by what he described as the Tinubu administration’s achievements in economic reforms, human development and national growth.

“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027,” he said.

According to him, Nigerians have evaluated the president’s performance and found it convincing.

“Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist, he does not make appointments based on religion or region, but his decisions are purely on merit,” Abba stated.

Beyond his personal endorsement, Abba called on Nigerians across political divides to support the president for the sake of continuity.

“The president needs your support to continue with the good work,” he added.

APC leaders in Adamawa described the defection as a major boost for the party ahead of 2027. The party’s Zonal Vice Chairman for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, who presented Abba with his membership card, said the move reaffirmed the APC’s strong position ahead of the next general election.

Also speaking, prominent APC chieftain Alhaji Jamil Yusuf dismissed potential challengers to Tinubu’s re-election bid, describing them as “wishful thinkers” who lack the political strength to unseat the incumbent president.

Abba Atiku had earlier defected to the APC on January 15, when he was formally received by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, and the APC National Vice Chairman (North East), Mustapha Salihu.
