Atiku’s N500 Million Case To Be Heard In Court Tomorrow

The hearing of  the action filed by the national deputy youth leader of Nigerians Continuity and Progressive (NCP), Dr. Lawal S. Ismaila, against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, before the Federal High Court in Abuja, is scheduled for tomorrow.

Atiku and Dr. Nat Yaduma had been brought before the court by the plaintiffs, Ichado Samson and members of the NCP.

Ismaila and others allege non-payment of N500 million for work done while he was employed as the director of the Atiku Campaign Organization from 2018 till the conduct of the presidential election in February 2019 in suit No. CV/20/63/2020.

The claims said that Atiku violated the agreement made and either refused to pay or omitted to do so.

According to their joint statement of claim, they prayed the court for an order awarding to them N500 million being unpaid contract sum due to them since February 2019.

Prior to the 2019 presidential election, Ismaila and his organisation were approached by Atiku organization through Yaduma, requesting them to use their network offices and membership for the  sensitisation and campaign for Atiku to win the presidential election of February 2019.
