Confirming the unfortunate development to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, a close aide to the deceased, identified as Godwin Omonya, said Zhin died on Sunday morning at a private hospital.

Omonya, who was also the ex-Special chairman’s Adviser on Media and Publicity, told reporters that his principal had been hospitalised for over a month due to an undisclosed illness.

He said that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at a hospital morgue in Abuja by the family members.

In the 2019 general elections, the deceased ran for House of Representatives in the Abuja South constituency on the APC platform.

He was also the chairman of the Kuje area council for two terms and was married to Paulina Etsu Zhin, with whom he had three boys and two girls.

He was the FCT PDP Coordinator for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign for the 2023 general election until his untimely death.
