Governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the APC National Summit held at the Presidential Villa, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, formally moved the motion for Tinubu’s adoption. The motion was seconded by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

The endorsement was affirmed by a unanimous “yes” vote from attendees at the summit.

Despite being in the midst of his first term, conversations around Tinubu’s re-election have steadily gained traction within party ranks. The governors’ declaration further solidifies the President’s standing ahead of the next electoral cycle.
