The Ebonyi Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all available positions in the local government council elections in Ebonyi State. The elections were held on Saturday.

Mr. Jossey Eze, Chairman of the Commission, revealed on Sunday that the APC secured all 13 Local Government Area (LGA) chairmanship seats and 171 ward councillorship seats. Eze noted that three political parties participated in the elections: APC, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Labour Party (LP).

He stated, “The election has been won and lost, but the victory is for everybody who participated in the elections. The winners should carry everybody along and everyone should contribute to delivering democratic dividends to people at the grassroots, which the local government areas represent.”
