Aloy Ejimakor: Release of Nnamdi Kanu Will End Insecurity in the Southeast

Aloy Ejimakor, the lead counsel for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that releasing Kanu would put an end to the ongoing insecurity in the Southeast. Ejimakor claims that individuals opposing Kanu’s release are benefiting from the region’s insecurity.

In a post on X, Ejimakor expressed that Kanu holds a significant place in the hearts and minds of many people. He stated, “It may be hard to understand the mind of man, but one thing that is certain is that MAZI NNAMDI KANU is etched in the hearts & minds of legions. You can bet that insecurity will come to a halt once #MNK is freed. Anyone blocking his release is profiting from the insecurity in SE.”

Kanu has been detained since June 2021, following his extraordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria. Since his incarceration, the Southeast has experienced a surge in violence, with incidents of killings and kidnappings becoming increasingly frequent.
