Ajetunmobi Couple Ordered By The Court To Pay Ponzi Victims N18.9 Billion

Yesterday, an Ikoyi-based judge from the Lagos State High Court ordered Imagine Global Holding Company Ltd, Imagine Global Solutions Ltd, Mr. Bamise Ajetunmobi, and Mrs. Elizabeth Ajetunmobi to pay N18.9 billion to people who were allegedly the victims of their alleged Ponzi scheme.

Justice Taofiquat Oyekan-Abdullahi, the trial judge, made the ruling as he handed down his decision in the case brought by 27 plaintiffs on behalf of themselves and 118 investors in Imagine Global Solutions Limited.

Both Imagine Global firms are believed to be owned by the Ajetunmobis.

The investors requested a number of declarations and orders against the couple and their firms from the court through the counsel of Adetunji Adedoyin-Adeniyi.

However, the Ajetunmobis, whose whereabouts are unknown, and their firms had pleaded with the court to dismiss the investors’ lawsuit in their preliminary objections, according to their lawyer Olukunle Nathan-Marsh.

The first objections were overruled by Justice Abdullahi-Oyekan, who also granted the investors’ requests for all of their pleadings.
