Former Rotimi Amaechi officially registered as a member of the African Democratic Congress on Friday morning at Ward 8 in Ubima Local Government Area.

The registration followed an incident in which unknown individuals set fire to the ADC office in the community, causing panic among residents and partially destroying the party office.

Addressing supporters, Amaechi condemned the violence and urged calm, stating: “Don’t be violent because violence may lead to the death of somebody — don’t be violent. At the same time, they can’t stop us from meeting in our community.”

He also commended security agencies, including the commissioner of police and the Department of State Services director, for their professionalism and called on them to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
