Kamala Harris Releases Medical Records Declaring ‘Excellent Health,’ Challenges Trump on Transparency

Kamala Harris has released her medical records, which show she is in “excellent health” and fit to serve as president. Following the disclosure, the Democratic presidential nominee criticized Donald Trump for his lack of transparency, accusing him of failing to release his own health records.

Harris claimed that her Republican rival “doesn’t want the American people to see whether or not he’s fit to become president.” In response, Trump’s team quoted his doctor, who stated that the former president is in “perfect and excellent health,” though they did not provide his medical records. The Trump campaign further claimed that Harris lacks the stamina of Trump, highlighting his “extremely busy and active campaign schedule.”

The exchange came after the White House released a medical report stating that Vice President Harris has the “physical and mental resiliency” required to serve as president. Dr. Joshua Simmons, a U.S. Army colonel and Harris’ physician for over three years, described her most recent physical examination in April as “unremarkable” and noted she maintains a healthy, active lifestyle. He also mentioned her family history of colon cancer and allergies but confirmed she follows recommended preventive care, including regular colonoscopies and annual mammograms.

After the release of Harris’ medical records, a campaign spokesperson took to social media with the message, “Your turn, Donald Trump.” At a campaign event in North Carolina, Harris also questioned Trump’s mental sharpness, noting how he “goes off on tangents.”
