Justin Timberlake Pleads Guilty to Impaired Driving, Urges Public to Avoid Drinking and Driving

Justin Timberlake, 43, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired and received a $500 fine along with a $260 surcharge. As part of the agreement, Timberlake will also create a public safety announcement highlighting the dangers of drinking and driving.

Additionally, Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace has requested Timberlake complete 25 to 40 hours of community service, which he has one year to fulfill. Timberlake will have the opportunity to choose the organization for his service.

Following the court hearing, Timberlake spoke to the media, urging the public to avoid driving after consuming alcohol.

“Even if you’ve had just one drink, don’t get behind the wheel. There are so many alternatives,” he said. “This was a mistake I made, but I hope others can learn from it.”

Timberlake expressed deep remorse for his actions.
