Netherlands’ PM Set To Invest $250 million In Nigeria

Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands has revealed plans for a significant investment of $250 million in Nigeria. Rutte made this known at his official residence ‘The Catshuis in The Hague’ Netherlands yesterday, when he received President Tinubu who is currently on a three-day visit to the Netherlands.
Rutte commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms, highlighting their role in boosting confidence among international investors in the Nigerian economy. Specifically, the Dutch prime minister outlined the allocation of $250 million from Dutch investors to various sectors in Nigeria. He mentioned that a significant portion of $100 million has been allocated for a waste-to-wealth industrial project in Lagos State.
President Tinubu, participating in the Nigeria-Dutch business forum, reaffirmed Nigeria’s openness to foreign investment and commitment to creating a conducive business environment. The forum served as a platform to highlight Nigeria’s investment prospects and promote partnerships between Nigerian and Dutch enterprises.
During his official visit, Tinubu held constructive discussions with top Dutch officials and business leaders, underscoring Nigeria’s abundant investment opportunities and potential returns.
Discussions during the visit centered on bolstering cooperation across key sectors such as agriculture, communications, digital economy, maritime and blue economy, petroleum, natural gas, trade, industry, and investment.
