Ahmadu Fintiri, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been announced the winner of the Adamawa Governorship election Exactly one month after the March 18 governorship.

With last month’s governorship election declared inconclusive by INEC in the state a supplementary election was scheduled for last Saturday. Fintiri, in the rerun polled 9,337 votes winning against Senator Aishatu ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 6,513 votes. After two days of drama and suspense,  Fintiri garnered 430,869 votes to defeat his closest challenger and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aisha Ahmed Binani, who scored 398,788 votes.
