Ebonyi State Governor-elect, Francis Nwifuru, yesterday, said he would form an inclusive government, noting that such an arrangement will foster development and integration in the state.
Speaking with newsmen after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nwifuru appreciated the Commission for a free and fair electoral process, adding that his government will be participatory and fair to the people irrespective of party affiliation. He called on his opponents to eschew differences and work with him for peace and development of the state. He promised that his administration would run an inclusive government. He promised that people’s input would be sought before taking critical decisions by his administration.
Nwifuru further promised that the rule of law and separation of powers would be entrenched and encouraged in his administration. Earlier, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Pauline Onyeka, said supplementary elections would hold in five state Assembly constituencies and one federal constituency in the state on April 15.
