Augustine Eguavoen, Nigeria’s former Technical Adviser, has stepped down with immediate effect following the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In the meanwhile, the NFF has revoked the two-and-a-half-year contract provided to the coaches and has sacked the team’s entire technical staff with immediate effect. After a thorough examination, a new crew will be chosen to spearhead the effort of reviving the Super Eagles and preparing them for future challenges.
“We thank the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavors,” said NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.
