2027 Will Be a Walkover for Tinubu, Says Jandor

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election by a landslide.

Jandor, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the remarks on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today. He argued that Tinubu’s political influence now extends beyond Lagos, making the 2027 contest an “easy win” nationwide.

“Remember, in 2023, Jandor and his Lagos for Lagos movement were outside, and this time, we are back inside. So, it won’t be the same thing as what you witnessed in 2023,” he said.

“2027, not only in Lagos but in the entire country, is going to be a walkover for the man whose courage has given us a lot in this country today.”

The APC chieftain also declared that his own bid for the Lagos governorship in 2027 would be a “walkover” with the full backing of President Tinubu and the party.

“You cannot imagine what is going to happen this time if I have the solid backing of Mr. President and the party in Lagos State. It will be a walkover,” he said.

Jandor stressed his loyalty to party decisions, noting that whoever emerges as the APC candidate in Lagos would enjoy his full support.

“I mean it with no disrespect to anybody. And I keep saying this, whoever at the end of the day the party decides to pick, all of us, we’re going to follow and campaign for.
You know, I played a smart one in 2021, 2022, when we were in the party. Because I know that we’re not wired to doing anti-party, and the moment the party presents anybody, all of us will fall in line,” he added.
