Festus Keyamo (SAN), the spokesperson for the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag-bearer, Bola Tinubu has said the naira crunch is not affecting the ruling party’s chances of winning the 2023 election.
Keyamo said this during his interview on a Channels Television on Friday evening.
“It has not affected APC in any way, we are winning. I’m not saying this out of arrogance, we’ll win fair and square” Keyamo said.
“It (the naira crunch) is not a problem to us, let me tell you why, what you needed money for in those days, during the time of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is to bribe law enforcement agencies, that is what is in their head; that is why you see them (the opposition) reacting this way. They think it is money they use to win election.
He added: “You know they usually compromise security agents, the police, the soldiers and all that. Why? Because you have to give them money. When they are carrying the results from polling units to ward collation centres, they swap it, they beat up people, it is no longer possible.”
