Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to education and healthcare development in Anambra State, describing both sectors as vital to national productivity and progress.
During a visit on Tuesday to the College of Nursing Sciences, Adazi-Nnukwu, in Anaocha Local Government Area, Obi interacted with students and urged them to prioritise education in shaping their future.
He announced a ₦15 million donation to improve teaching and learning facilities at the college, which he said he has supported since its establishment.
Obi later visited Practising School, Agulu, which was destroyed by fire in 2023, where he inspected the damaged buildings and assured the school community of his commitment to its reconstruction.
He encouraged teachers and students to remain steadfast despite the setbacks, promising continued assistance to restore the institution.
